Opening a Personal Bank Account in the UAE

Documents required to open a bank account:
- Passport
- Emirates ID
- For work visa holders: Salary Certificate (will be provided to you along with the Emirates ID)
- For company owner’s visa holders: company licence and personal account statements for the last 6 months
- For investor visa holders: bank account statements for the last 6 months, and proof of income in the Russian Federation (e.g. a work contract under which the salary is received, or a statement showing where the dividends come from)
Cost: 7,000 AED
Timeline: 7–10 days
(!) You can apply to open an account remotely, without visiting a branch in person in the UAE, only through the apps of certain banks (such as the WIO online bank); however, if you are not currently in the UAE, the banks may detect your geolocation and deny your account application.
