1. General information and rates

Obtaining local driver’s licenses in the UAE is mandatory for all residents who have Emirates ID. We help our clients to get driver’s licenses in an expedite way.

2. Procedure

1. You take a eye test at any optician’s.
2. We register you at the driving school. The very next day you can take your theory test.
3. We register you for the next tests at the nearest convenient time.
4. You pass the tests and get your licence.

3. Stages (depending on the chosen plan)

To obtain a driver´s licence, you need to pass several stages:

1. Theory test – 40 questions, 30 of which must be answered correctly (theory test can be skipped, for 3500 AED ).
2. Initial Driving Assessment Test at school – a preparatory simple road test before RTA final road exam
3. Initial Smart Yard Assessment Test (Parking) – preparatory simple test before RTA Yard exam
4. Internal Yard Test (Parking at RTA) – parking test on a sensor-equipped lot
5. Final Road Test at RTA – driving test in the city with a RTA examiner

4. Documents

To register at the driving school, you will need the following documents::

• Passport copy
• Residence permit (PDF digital file or scan of the visa sticker in the passport)
• Emirates ID
• Valid driver’s license
• Eye test (can be done at any optician’s)

*If the residence permit is issued outside Dubai, you will also need to provide a long-term rental contract in Dubai (ejari).
