Process of obtaining residency:

STAGE	YOUR LOCATION	TIMELINES
0. Obtaining a quota	You can be outside the UAE.	1-14 working days
1. Entry permit (if outside the UAE)	You must be outside the UAE; do not enter the country before the entry permit is issued (!).	7-15 working days
1.1 Change of status (inside the country)	If you are already in the country as a tourist, a change of status is required.	1 working day
2. Entry into the UAE	You have 60 days to enter the UAE.
3. Medical examination	You are in the UAE.	1-2 working days
4. Biometrics	You are in the UAE.	1-2 working days
5. “Pink” residence visa	You are in the UAE. After obtaining the pink visa, you can leave the UAE.	1-3 working days
6. Emirates ID	Emirates ID is delivered to our office address without your presence; we will hand it over to you as soon as you return to the UAE.	2-10 working days
7. Bank account	You are in the UAE. You submit documents to the bank (in person) and receive your bank card (in person).	3-7 working days

Documents required to apply for an Emirates ID:

• Scan of your passport
• Studio digital photo 3.5 × 4.5 on a white background (in non-bright/non-white closed clothing)
• Scan of an education diploma legalized in the UAE (bachelor’s/master’s)
